Why the Thunder Will Cover (-23.5)

This is the biggest spread that OKC has seen over an opponent all season, and it makes sense. Utah has no interest in winning, and while they still have some quality young talent to put on the floor, their injury list is about as long as one can get. The Thunder starting lineup should be able to crush whoever the Jazz put on the floor, and OKC has plenty of depth to push a lead higher, so I like the Thunder to cover in a blowout win.

Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (239.5)

As good as Utah’s offense has been, at least in terms of moving the ball, the Jazz defense is abysmal. Utah is 3rd in the league in assists and 9th in scoring, but the defense allows the most points per game in the entire NBA. OKC’s defense should easily stifle Utah’s typical scoring rhythm, and even in a blowout, I don’t think the point total goes over this number.
