The Oklahoma City Thunder looked solid against a short-handed Dallas Mavericks team on Thursday, but they were actually the short-handed team yesterday with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sitting out, among others. Today, the Thunder hosts the Memphis Grizzlies, and it will be even worse for OKC as Luguentz Dort, Darius Bazley, Al Horford, and Theo Maledon will all be missing from the starting lineup for various reasons.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies haven’t exactly had the best season so far, but they’re hoping to turn things around in the second half. The Grizzlies handily defeated the Washington Wizards on Wednesday 127-112 before narrowly losing to the Denver Nuggets 103-102 on Friday night. At 17-17, Memphis has some work to do if they want to secure a playoff spot, but now that they are almost completely healthy, they’ve got a good chance to do so.
