Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #69 Preview: Orlando Magic

The Oklahoma City Thunder puts its 8-game win streak on the line on Tuesday night as they kick off a 5-game East Coast road trip in Orlando against the Magic. OKC’s win streak has featured plenty of highlights, with 6 wins against 5 different teams currently in playoff position. Orlando is fresh off a 7-win streak of their own, which was snapped last night in a 124-112 home loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Western Conference First Round Game 4: Memphis Grizzlies

The Thunder had plenty of issues in Game 3, mostly in the first half, but their resilience to never back down and keep playing the game was on center stage. Mistakes weren’t nearly as plentiful in the second half, and it still feels like OKC has some work to do yet. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has had a less-than-stellar first round, which would be concerning if the team defense wasn’t so impressive, but it would still be nice to see him put together a quality game and close out the Grizzlies as soon as possible.

Thunder Against the Spread | Expect OKC to Dominate Grizzlies in Memphis

These two teams met 6 days in OKC, and the result was a 31-point bloodbath of a victory for the Thunder. The Grizzlies have a couple of guys back, including Desmond Bane, AND this game is in Memphis, but I’m expecting a double-digit victory, even if it is a bit closer than Sunday’s matchup was. Either way, OKC just needs to get in and get out with a solid win.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #25 Preview: Memphis Grizzlies

The Thunder continues their road trip Wednesday night as they take on Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies are on a 3-game win streak of their own, and they have won 5 of their last 6. Memphis is a bit banged up, and they’re definitely missing Desmond Bane, who has been out with a sprained right big toe, but when these two teams met in OKC just a couple of weeks ago, the Grizzlies did just fine, defeating the Thunder 121-110. Tonight’s matchup should be a good one featuring two of the best young guards in the league in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Ja Morant.

Thunder Against the Spread | OKC Will Keep Covering as a Road Dog in Memphis

Ja Morant owns the better head-to-head record with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but Shai has been the better player in their matchups over the last few years. While that is the matchup most people are excited for, there’s more to this story that makes me think OKC can not only cover the spread but perhaps win the game.

OKC Thunder | Game Preview #44: Grizzlies

The Oklahoma City Thunder picked up a win in Detroit against the Pistons on Monday behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 31 points, but tonight, the Thunder will be without their star point guard as they host the Memphis Grizzlies at Chesapeake Energy Arena. SGA is dealing with plantar fascitis in his right foot, so he should be considered game-to-game at this point.

OKC Thunder | Game #39 Preview: Grizzlies

The Oklahoma City Thunder looked solid against a short-handed Dallas Mavericks team on Thursday, but they were actually the short-handed team yesterday with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sitting out, among others. Today, the Thunder hosts the Memphis Grizzlies, and it will be even worse for OKC as Luguentz Dort, Darius Bazley, Al Horford, and Theo Maledon will all be missing from the starting lineup for various reasons.
