Series History

So far this season, the Thunder is 2-0 against the Grizzlies (1-0 at home, 1-0 on the road).

Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (-9)

The Grizzlies are at the least missing Jaren Jackson Jr., and they are likely to be missing several other key guys. And while Memphis has lost 4 of their last 6 games, they’ve given themselves a chance, losing by no more than 6 and their last 3 by a single possession. OKC’s lack of defensive focus has been an issue at the start of games, so unless they dramatically shift that in Memphis, they could struggle with the Grizzlies. I do think OKC wins, but I’m expecting a single-digit decision.

Why the Game Will Hit the Over (250.5)

Memphis has the 2nd-highest scoring offense in the entire NBA, and the Thunder has averaged the most points since returning from the All-Star Break. Put those two factors together, and I smell a high-scoring contest. Add to it that the Thunder and the Grizzlies are bottom 3 in the NBA in points allowed since the All-Star Break, and there really is no telling how high this point total could go.
