Series History
OKC is 2-0 against Phoenix so far this season (2-0 at home, 0-0 on the road).
Why the Thunder Will Cover (-8.5)
OKC has a couple of additions to the injury report after the Golden State game, with Cason Wallace and Isaiah Joe both listed as questionable with knee soreness. The potential absence of Wallace changes the game a bit because Phoenix has two quality scoring guards in Devin Booker (24.7 PPG) and Dillon Brooks (21.4 PPG). Still, the Thunder’s team defense has been especially dominant lately, and I think that carries over into this one.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (226.5)
As good as OKC’s defense has been, the offense has consistently been scoring with ease, averaging 131 points per game over the last four games. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the second-leading scorer in the NBA, and his playmaking ability continues to grow. Still, Phoenix has one of the top defenses in the league, and when you have two top defenses going head-to-head, it’s hard to expect a lot of scoring. I don’t see this one going over the point total.
