Why the Thunder Will Cover (-14.5)
OKC is a massive favorite to win this series, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a blowout in Game 1. OKC is better than Phoenix in every aspect of the game, and the Thunder enters with a full week of rest. OKC’s big 3 of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, and Jalen Williams have played well against Phoenix this season, and with the home crowd behind them, the Thunder should kick this series off with fireworks.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (215.5)
Playoff basketball means locked-in defense, and the best defense in the league should have an opportunity to shine against a mediocre offense. Phoenix is also pretty solid on the defensive end, so OKC is going to have to work. Even though I expect a blowout, I still anticipate a low-scoring game.
