Series History
OKC is 1-0 against Atlanta so far this season (0-0 at home, 1-0 on the road).
Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (-16.5)
A lot of factors are contributing to this spread, so it’s a hard pick. Atlanta is riding a 6-game losing streak, will be without Jalen Johnson, and is possibly missing Trae Young as well. Meanwhile, OKC is coming off a home game yesterday afternoon and could be missing a handful of guys as well. The Thunder should win this one by double digits, but the Hawks are a good enough team to keep it reasonable, so I’m taking Atlanta to just barely cover, even if it is late in the game.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (236.5)
OKC’s defense finally managed to lock in during the second half against the 76ers yesterday, and because it was an afternoon game, I’m thinking that extra few hours of rest will help out with tonight’s matchup. This just seems like too many points for me, even if Atlanta does manage to keep it pretty close. I’m taking the under.
