The Oklahoma City Thunder wraps up its 5-game East Coast road trip on Wednesday night as they put a 12-game win streak on the line against the Boston Celtics. OKC is finally at full strength, and it could not come at a better time as they wrap up the last stretch of the season.
With just 10 games remaining, the Thunder sits atop the Western Conference standings, 3 games ahead of the San Antonio Spurs. OKC has been rolling for a while, but so have the Spurs, so securing the top spot for the playoffs likely won’t be decided until the last week of the regular season.
Meanwhile, the Celtics are in a battle for second place in the Eastern Conference. After missing Jayson Tatum for the first 62 games of the season, Boston still has high aspirations for the postseason. The Celtics weathered the storm without their star forward, thanks mostly to the impressive play by Jaylen Brown. Keeping those two at bay will be OKC’s biggest challenge tonight, but if the Thunder can limit what Tatum and Brown do, then SGA & Co. should be able to head home with another win.
