OKC has struggled to cover the spread lately, doing so just once in the last four games, but the Thunder has a chance to get back on track tonight with such a big spread. The Celtics have the best record in the league right now, but they have won just 5 of their last 11 outings, so if OKC can keep Jayson Tatum and/or Jaylen Brown from going off, then there’s a good chance this could be a close game.

At 26-11 on the season, the Celtics lead the Eastern Conference standings, but after starting 21-5, they proceeded to lose 5 of the next 6 before getting back on track by winning 4 of their last 5. Needless to say, Boston has been a bit streaky over the last month, which might be just what the Thunder needs in order to make this game competitive.

The Thunder has played teams consistently close so far this season, only losing three times by double digits. Of those three losses, just one came on the road. 12 points is a lot, even considering that OKC is played in the second game of a back-to-back. I’m thinking OKC keeps their hot scoring streak going when they take on the Celtics.

Oklahoma City has failed to hit the over on the road this season but tonight provides a significant opportunity to end that streak. Boston hits the over 50% of the time at home and the Thunder are hitting it 50% of the time in the second night of a back-to-back. When you consider how low this total is it certainly means taking a shot on the over.

In the midst of the NBA Playoffs, news broke Friday morning that the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Boston Celtics have agreed to a trade that will drastically shape the 2021-22 season for both teams.
Per NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Thunder is sending Al Horford, Moses Brown, and a 2023 second-round pick to the Celtics in exchange for Kemba Walker, the 16th pick in the upcoming 2021 draft, and a 2025 second-round pick.

The Oklahoma City Thunder has tied a franchise record of 14 consecutive losses after dropping a 121-90 loss last night against the Philadelphia 76ers. Tonight, the Thunder will likely set a new record as they take on the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.

Tonight, the Thunder hosts the Boston Celtics, who have added Evan Fournier, Mo Wagner, and Luke Kornet and have seen the departures of Daniel Theis, Jeff Teague, and Javonte Green. The Celtics are severely underperforming this season, but they are still in a decent position in the playoff standings. Just 2 days after dropping a 2-point decision to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, the Celtics were able to defeat the Bucks 122-114 last night, so maybe a big win like that is something that will turn them around.
