Why the Thunder Will Cover (-2.5)
Boston relies heavily on knocking down shots from three, and when they miss, rebounding the ball for a second-chance opportunity. As good as OKC’s defense is, the Thunder ranks near the bottom in opponent three-point percentage. Now that OKC is completely healthy, I think they have the depth to run Boston off the line, force the Celtics into a few more turnovers than normal, and win this game by enough to cover the spread.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (217.5)
The last meeting between these teams was a defensive slugfest that ended with both teams barely eclipsing the 100-point mark. I think this one is similar defensively, but with a few more shots made on both sides, as neither the Thunder nor the Celtics shot very well. I’m taking the over here.
