Why the Thunder Will Cover (+2.5)
Playing on opening night of the NBA’s 2026-27 season is a big enough deal, but both teams are going to want to win this game desperately. The Thunder and the Spurs have no love lost between them, and after the Spurs defeated the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals just a few months ago, OKC has plenty of motivation to get revenge. San Antonio had OKC’s number last season, but after what likely felt like a forever-long offseason, I can’t help but think the Thunder are going to find a way to flip the script. At the same time, I am biased, so maybe I’m just wearing blue-colored glasses.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (231.5)
This point total doesn’t make much sense. Sure, it’s a regular season game, and sure, teams haven’t played real competitive basketball in months, but when these two teams met in the Western Conference Finals, 3 of the 7 matchups went over this line, and one of those was a double overtime game. In 5 regular season meetings, only once did the point total go this high.
