After starting five games into the season, Oklahoma State showed no signs of dropping six of their next eight games, but that’s exactly what happened. Fingers can be pointed, and blame should be shared across the board for the most part, but perhaps all of the problems from the season can be summarized into one simple sentence: the Cowboys can’t handle pressure.
No. 7 Oklahoma State has earned the nickname “Cardiac Cowboys” over the years, and after Saturday’s game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, it just makes sense. After trailing 7-0, the Red Raiders managed to recover an onside kick, and it looked like the game was falling apart before it ever really got started. Fortunately for the Cowboys, a flag was thrown, and Texas Tech was called for interference on the return as a Cowboy called for a fair catch.

The no. 10 Oklahoma State Cowboys looked as good as they have all season on Saturday night as they overcame an early fumble on the first possession of the game to absolutely dominate the visiting Texas Christian Horned Frogs. TCU was on the verge of scoring after recovering a fumble at midfield just a couple of plays into the game, ,but the Cowboy defense held strong, and then the offense took over. It didn’t take long for the points to pile up, and at the end of the night, Oklahoma State put up their highest scoring game of the season, defeating TCU 63-17.
