The fourth round of Bedlam didn’t quite live up to the hype of last weekend’s series but the result was the same. With a conference title on the line once again, it was the Sooners walking off the field victorious. The only thing standing between Oklahoma and a berth in Saturday’s Big 12 championship game is an evening affair with Texas Tech at the 2021 Big 12 Softball Championship. The Sooners dispatched Baylor by a run-rule score of 10-2, in five innings, to open play in the championship tournament on Friday afternoon. Jana Johns and Grace Green went yard and Mackenzie Donihoo and Lynnsie Elam knocked in three runs each as Oklahoma pounded Texas Tech 15-0 in Game 1 to record a 27th run-rule victory. Then in Game 2 Shannon Saile struckout 13 Red Raider batters in a complete-game shutout performance as the Sooners took the series with a 5-0 win.

The process was a bit different for Oklahoma on Saturday but the end result was the same as the Sooners sent Texas to the locker room early with a run-rule defeat. On Friday night it was a walk-off home run that ended the game the Sooners used a walk-off single to secure the series with back-to-back run-rule wins over the 7th-ranked Longhorns.
