The only thing standing between Oklahoma and a berth in Saturday’s Big 12 championship game is an evening affair with Texas Tech at the 2021 Big 12 Softball Championship. The Sooners dispatched Baylor by a run-rule score of 10-2, in five innings, to open play in the championship tournament on Friday afternoon. The Bears had a hard time keeping the ball in the park against OU after jumping on top 2-0 in the opening frame.

Twenty In A Row! Oklahoma Extends Winning Streak Over Texas With 10-2 Run-Rule

The process was a bit different for Oklahoma on Saturday but the end result was the same as the Sooners sent Texas to the locker room early with a run-rule defeat. On Friday night it was a walk-off home run that ended the game the Sooners used a walk-off single to secure the series with back-to-back run-rule wins over the 7th-ranked Longhorns.

Oklahoma started off with a home run and finished with a home run in a completely dominating 11-1 win over Texas to start off their three-game series. It was actually back-to-back home runs to start the game as Tiare Jennings and Jocelyn Alo gave the Sooners a 2-0 lead after just two at bats.
