It’s not even been 48 hours since the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Golden State warriors 128-109, and now it’s time to do it all over again. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey had solid all-around games, and Isaiah Joe had the hot hand as he knocked down 7-of-7 threes, but just because OKC won big on Thursday doesn’t mean a repeat is bound to happen tonight.

Thunder Against the Spread | OKC a Slight Favorite Yet Again Against Golden State
Not much has changed in the last couple of days since the Thunder handily defeated the Warriors 128-109. Cason Wallace is questionable for OKC with a sprained right shoulder, but the Warriors are still missing Steph Curry (strained right knee) and Draymond Green (suspension) as well as Gary Payton II (strained left foot).

Now the Thunder turns their attention to a 3-game road trip that begins with two games against the Golden State Warriors in a three-day span. The Warriors are in a rough stretch of 4 straight losses, and it’s probably not going to get any better any time soon as they are without Steph Curry due to a sprained knee. Draymond Green is also out for the next 5 games as he serves a suspension for his involvement in a brawl with the Minnesota Timberwolves where Green placed Rudy Gobert in a chokehold.

The Warriors are missing Steph Curry to injury and Draymond Green to suspension. They’re a very different team without those two guys, and it’s not a very good one. Add to it that Golden State is on a 4-game losing streak all while OKC is playing some really good basketball, and the Thunder should be able to pick up a decent win on the road before facing the Warriors again on Saturday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder continued their struggle down the final stretch of the season as they fell to the Phoenix Suns 128-118 at home on Sunday evening. The Thunder showed promising signs of being able to compete with the league’s best, but with just a few games left, OKC has yet to clinch a play-in spot. They could do that tonight as they head out on the road to take on the Golden State Warriors.

I’m not even going to lie: I’m taking the Thunder to win because I want them to win the game, not because I’m convinced they will. I definitely think OKC has what it takes to get the win, especially if Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has another big game like he did on Sunday and the supporting cast performs well. Jalen Williams is questionable to play due to a sprained wrist, so that is a bit worrisome. Draymond Green is probable to play, but if he ends up sitting, the Warriors will be missing a key role on both ends of the floor. As of now, I’m sticking with the Thunder to cover and win.

Now, as the Thunder begins their 14th season, I am finally a season-ticket holder. The Thunder hasn’t had fans in the building since March of 2019, and I for one could not be more excited. Yes, it’s almost guaranteed to be another tank season, and I’m more likely to be in the building for a loss than a win, but I’m still pumped. The NBA announced the full schedule for the 2021-22 season Friday afternoon, so without further ado, here are the 10 games that I’m looking forward to attending the most (in chronological order):

The Oklahoma City Thunder trailed by double digits for most of their matchup against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday evening, but they managed to make it a close one before falling at home 103-99. Tonight, the Thunder kicks off a 4-game road trip, which features an interesting schedule quirk where OKC plays the Golden State Warriors twice in a row before playing the Sacramento Kings twice in a row. Tonight’s matchup with the Warriors may seem to be of little consequence at face value, but in reality, there is a lot riding on the result.

This is a pretty easy pick in my opinion. Dort is on the bench next to SGA, Poku, and Mike Muscala. This won’t be the same team that played in Salt Lake City last night just by the removal of Dort.

The Oklahoma City Thunder lost their 7th consecutive game last night, a 106-96 decision against the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, but that doesn’t mean they’re improving. Luguentz Dort put up a career-high 42 points as the Thunder played their closest game in weeks against the NBA’s best record.
