Thunder Against the Spread | Expect Another Close One with the Clips

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played on Tuesday, and Paul George and Kawhi Leonard sat out for LA, and it made a big difference. PG13 might play tonight, but Kawhi is still listed as out, so expect another close matchup. Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue is good at making adjustments, and LA has plenty of talent, so another Thunder win would be surprising. Still, this one will likely come down to the wire.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #5 Preview: Los Angeles Clippers

The Oklahoma City Thunder had no real issues handling the visiting Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday, and tonight, the two teams meet again at the Paycom Center. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returned after missing a game due to hip contusion, and he played like he had not missed a beat. The Thunder is still without Josh Giddey and Jalen Williams, but the Clippers are still missing Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George is listed as questionable due to an illness.

Thunder Against the Spread | Take OKC to Cover Against the Clippers

It’s hard to pick against the Thunder when it comes to the spread, even with key players out due to injury. I’d feel a lot more comfortable if the line was OKC (+10.5), but I’m believing in the home crowd to keep the good guys in this one until the end.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #4: Los Angeles Clippers

Tonight the Thunder hosts the Los Angeles Clippers, who are 2-1 after dropping 112-95 decision to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. The Clippers are missing Paul George due to an illness, but Kawhi Leonard is back playing basketball after missing all of last season with a torn ACL. Leonard has come off the bench for each game so far as the Clippers are managing his minutes until he’s back to full form, but he may start tonight with Paul George out.

Thunder Against the Spread | Take OKC to Cover One Last Time

I don’t think the Thunder wants to be anywhere near winning a game, but I absolutely think they’ll end up keeping this one to single digits anyway. The Clippers are resting Paul George, Reggie Jackson, and Norman Powell, so I don’t really expect a blowout to cap off the regular season. Picking OKC to cover seems like a safe bet.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #82 Preview: Los Angeles Clippers

It’s been a long season of tanking, but the Oklahoma City Thunder wraps up the regular season tonight as they take on the Los Angeles Clippers on the road. The Thunder was knocked out of the playoffs weeks ago, while the Clippers have cemented their spot at 8th place in the West, where they will take on the 7th place Minnesota Timberwolves. Essentially, tonight’s game doesn’t mean much.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Gets Redemption with Buzzer Beater Against Clippers

Mike Muscala took the inbounds pass for OKC, and he immediately found Shai, who found himself in a similar spot as Wednesday evening. This time, however, the Thunder trailed by just two, so when he side-stepped his defender and put up the three-point attempt, it was a Thunder victory as the ball sank through the net.

Thunder Against the Spread | The Point Total Seems a Bit High

The Thunder and the Clippers have had a plethora of close games over the years, and tonight should be no different. In the first matchup a month and a half ago, the Thunder lost to the Clippers by 5 in Los Angeles. I anticipate this one will be yet another tight one that goes down to the wire.

Thunder Against The Spread | Trends Are Pointing To The Under Against Clippers

Truthfully, it’s impossible to have confidence in Oklahoma City right now. The Thunder upset the Lakers at home two games ago and then went on the road and dropped an egg at Golden State. OKC has been abysmal on the road this season, averaging just 86.3 points per game, and until they can prove that something has changed you’d be taking a huge risk in banking on them. There’s a reason why the Thunder are 0-3 against the spread in road games this season and despite LA’s sluggish start it’s hard to imagine anything but 0-4 right now.

OKC Thunder | The 10 Home Games I Can’t Wait to Attend

Now, as the Thunder begins their 14th season, I am finally a season-ticket holder. The Thunder hasn’t had fans in the building since March of 2019, and I for one could not be more excited. Yes, it’s almost guaranteed to be another tank season, and I’m more likely to be in the building for a loss than a win, but I’m still pumped. The NBA announced the full schedule for the 2021-22 season Friday afternoon, so without further ado, here are the 10 games that I’m looking forward to attending the most (in chronological order):
